Set in a restored private mansion, East Indies Mansion is located in the heart of UNESCO World Heritage Site of George Town. Everything. This is not your normal hotel. There is an old style history that is so different to your standard place. The rooms are large, uniquely outfitted, and had a charm that is hard to find. The staff were super polite and helpful. The location is great for enjoying Penang, especially the food. We enjoyed Kapitan, The Spicy Crab, and The Black Kettle the most and all are within easy walking distance. For atmosphere, try the restaurant directly opposite the Mansion. The whole family, including our 8 and 11 year daughters, all want to come back and stay again.

Situated within the UNESCO World Heritage city of Georgetown, Coffee Atelier is a collection of 5 beautifully-restored shophouses dating back to 1927. the location is a plus. we wanted to try the recommended food in penang but did not have enough time so we just ordered grab for food delivery here. the place was near to the famous padang kota so it didnt took us long to get our food. the room was decorated in the traditional chinese style. it was artistic in my opinion, yet very comfortable. we had the whole upper floor to ourselves so that was a bonus. the staff was helpful and accomodating too. this is a hidden gem in penang. i totally recommend this place to everyone. the room can easily fit 3-4 people so it's suitable for family. great stay for us. will come back next time.

The food is delicious all over the Penang island, that people really knows how to cook. You can reach all the points of interest on the island by the public bus. The island is full of historical places worth visiting. Almost all the inhabitants of the island speaks English. People are very willing to help you if you need

You just can't go wrong with the food! Get the map of local dishes and make sure you taste everything! I never thought that I could go to a place just for the food, but Penang was a huge surprise. Like nothing else that I have ever visited. The old town is very nice. easy to get around and safe. Don't miss this when in Malaysia!
