Hosts were friendly and kind, the pets there are adorable and cuddly. Everything was luxurious, breakfast, dinner, rooms. Dinner was pricey, but totally worth it - the beef prepared by the chef was very exquisite. The Spa is very nice and relaxing, easy to access.

Located within 3 km of Kirkjugólf and Systrafoss twin waterfalls, Magma Hotel offers accommodation in Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Rooms are modern with Nordic design and free WiFi. We loved our stay at the cute, cozy, and very Icelandic cabin at the Magma Hotel. It felt very private, and the view of the lake and woods and horses across the lake were superb. Our buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of tasty variety to choose from. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend a stay in this superb hotel for a true Icelanic experience.
