Absolutely gorgeous hotel in a quiet secluded location. Room was immaculate with stunning mountain view. Restaurant was top class.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Breakfast was really good with a variety of options. The location was great - just far enough from town to have a clear view of the northern lights when they flared up at night. Worth the price for the area.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. The service here was absolutely wonderful, really above and beyond! The lounge area was great for happy hour and the rooms were cozy with a nice view of the snowy mountains.
