Nestled in the picturesque Scottish Highlands, Fonab Castle, refurbished and opened in 2013, boasts luxurious rooms, scenic views, mature gardens, free WiFi, free parking, and 2 restaurants. The hotel staff and service was first rate, everyone was friendly helpful and professional and very welcoming. The room was lovely, well designed spotless and the attention to every detail to make for a comfortable stay. I loved the bed sheets and the bath robe, so soft! The spa was great, very quite clean and well kept, the "sent" room is a must visit. The grounds are beautiful and you have very easy access to the town.

Situated in Dunkeld, Tay House is a self catering establishment with views of the River Tay. Tay House has a terrace at the back of the building with river views. Very warm welcome, friendly staff. Great parking right across the street. Room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped and the self-service breakfast was the perfect option for me. I already recommended Tay House to some friends. Thank you!

Established in 1924, The Gleneagles Hotel is a prestigious resort in the heart of Scotland. Set within 850 acres, it offers 3 championship golf courses and an ESPA spa, along with a falconry school. Everything! From the grounds to the staff, from the attentiveness of everyone working to the incredible food and drinks Gleneagles was everything I heard about and then some. Gorgeous, fantastic place.

The Merryburn - Rooms and Courtyard Studios is a few minutes' walk from Dunkeld and Birnam Railway Station at the gateway to the Highlands and is a listed Victorian building. Just across the street from the Beatrix Potter Garden and just a five-minute walk from the Dunkeld and Birnam train station, this charming hotel had spacious, comfortable, and adorably-decorated Peter Rabbit themed suites. I almost died of cuteness! The hostess was delightful, welcoming, and filled with excellent advice about the area. Strongly recommend; if I ever come back to this area I will definitely stay here.

Situated in 1.5 acres of elevated grounds, 'Knockendarroch Hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Pitlochry town centre. The hotel is located on top of the hill of the beautiful town of Pitlochry. We stayed at the attic room, which is big, brighty and with views to the mountains. Everything was perfect: king size and comfortable bed and a little space with sofa and table. We liked the most the big salon on the ground floor of the house with its chimney and chesters, where you can relax just reading or drinking something before the dinner. The breakfast was superb, served on the restaurant, quiet and with nice views to the gardens. We stayed there only for one night in our way to Isle of Skye, but we have liked to have spent more time there!
