The valley is beautiful and the property has many hiking trails and an extensive garden with many birds. Food is good but there are other good restaurants nearby. They offer tours to search for the Quetzal. I didn't use them as I had seen them before and saw them again on my own

The hotel is so comfortable, all of the staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a variety of different types of rooms depending on your needs.

Great location, few restaurants by the hotel and 3 small grocery market and the national stadium are within walking distance. Park La sabana is like 5 mins walking distance. There’s a Starbucks and a Subway, very close! An Uber to the airport was only like $7 for 4 people and about 20-25 mins away. Breakfast was outstanding and so was the staff!

Situated in San Gerardo de Dota, 13 km from Cerro de la Muerte, Las Cataratas Lodge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. I have been traveling Costa Rica for nearly two weeks now, staying at Bed and Breakfasts and cabins across the country. This location has been my absolute favorite, by far. The cabins are basic, but they bring a close comfort to you. I felt incredibly relaxed and was fully able to enjoy their quiet. Surrounding the cabin are a couple of hiking trails and a few small gazebos. You could hike to a couple of waterfalls or settle into and watch the constant comings-and-goings of the hummingbirds. The breakfasts were the best I've had in my travels so far. The dinner was also delicious. I found this spot a wonderful quiet oasis to connect with the wonderful flora and fauna surrounding me. I can't recommend it enough.

Starting from the best staff we have met in CR, then the beautiful and specious cabañas with anything you may need, to the trails and other activities like horse riding, etc. All was perfect.
