Beautiful city with the palace "het Loo", and lively center with many places to go to and divergent shopping facilities and many different restaurants and good food. I ate at a great Indian restaurant. The prices for food and drinks and even in the shops are lower than in the West of the Netherlands. Nice people and city, easy to go around and safe.

The hotel was in a perfect location for visiting family who had moved to the area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However the breakfast were too expensive for what was on offer, and we were charged everyday when we only had 2 days. When we querried it they refunded us, but only for 1 of us, so I need to chase them up on this at home. We were charged for the small plastic bottles of water in our room everyday which we thought were complimentary (no signage to say otherwise). No kettle, tea bags or milk in our room. Staff were extremely slow to bring us a kettle and extra pillows to our room, we asked 3 times over 36 hours!!! Our stop in Apeldoorn was primarily to see the Paleis Het Loo and we originally intended to stay for just one night. We were so charmed by the warm atmosphere and Petra's kindness that we extended our stay another night. The palace was a quick 10 minute drive from Zenzez, and worthy of a full day's visit. Breakfasts were delicious, and the breakfast room a serene start to our day.
