The location was good.
Staff were friendly and very helpful with trying to book bus tickets online. Even they couldn't get it to work, as the online system does not take foreign credit cards. Had to go to the bus stop to buy tickets.
Walking distance to Hanok village, mural town, top of the mountain where Buddha sits and other attractions. Nice Chinese restaurant next door. Bus stop down the road if required.
Towels were changed daily, and they were BIG bath towels. 🤗

The hotel has great service and accommodated our late arrival after midnight. The rooms were clean and the staff members were very courteous. We booked rooms that included breakfast and after selecting our options the night before, they delivered the food to our room at the decided time.

Jeonju has a nice preserved hanok hood, however, it is clearly gentrifying quickly and prepared for massive tourism. The rest of the city has little interest. One afternoon to walk in the hanoks and dine should be enough.

Really neat experience to get an idea about traditional Korean architecture and clothes. Obviously, the town has modernized to have coffee shops, etc., but the buildings in the city center have been maintained in a traditional style, and the popularity of renting the traditional Korean clothing lends a unique atmosphere.
We visited the Shrine, highly recommended. Nothing exotic, but good information about that time in Korean history and some of the events that made Jeonju what it is.
Some really great restaurants, look up best places to eat in Jeonju, we tried 3 out of the top 10 and were super pleased with all 3.
The traditional Hanok was a unique place to stay that was an inexpensive way to experience a little of what traditional homes were like. Obviously converted to hotel-type rooms, but the idea was there and it was a fun way to spend a weekend.
Highly Recommend!!

This was a really great opportunity to experience a historic aspect of South Korea. I enjoyed staying in a Hanok and I did a photoshoot in the Hanbok. It was like walking around on the set of a period piece.

Jeonju Hanok Village is a really nice place to visit, don't hesitate to get lots in the small narrow streets. Take half a day to visit Jamal Mural Village, it worth it for the paintings on the houses.
To eat I would recommand Jeondong Ddeokgalbi and Veteran restaurants, first one for bibimbap and 2nd for noodles and dumplings.

Nice mid sized city with a bit of open space along the river. Jeonju Hanok Village is worth a visit. Real touristy place but loads of people dressed in Hanbok so great place for people watching. Plenty of touristy souvenir shops if thats your thing. Plenty of Westeners and Chinese tourists dressed up in Hanboks which added to the people watching experience.

The Hanok Village is awesome and the Rail Bike as well.
The Hanok Village is awesome and the Rail Bike as well. It's very quiet and the public transpo is not really that accessible if you stay in The Hanok Village. Most of the restaurants are closing earlier.
Great stay in a traditional hanok in the hanok village. The room was charming and the bathroom was comfortable. The location was wonderful- off of a small alleyway in the traditional area. The room did include a mini-fridge and a tea maker although no table, nightstand or other furniture (traditional). The floor was heated so the space was quite comfy even as the night chilled down. The host was fabulous and super-helpful, called us a taxi for our departure and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. Highly recommend.
The host was wonderful. Breakfast was solid with bread and fruits and our choice of coffee or orange juice. The room had a nice heated floor that, I think also included the wet room which dried faster because of it, and it had a/c so we always had a comfortable temperature. The location was fantastic in the middle of the hanok village, super easy to get to and very pleasant to walk around, particularly in the morning before day tourists are around.
Authentic Hanok stay with a self-service corner for tea, coffee and breakfast. Floor heating and futon. Very cosy and considered. Basic hand-held shower but has good water and temperature control.. gets the job done. A happy and attentive owner who prefers cash payment and helped with a taxi from and to the train station. Also provided guidance and directions, talking us through a map of the Hanok village.
Excellent location, right in the Jeonju Hanok Village and so close to the places of interests. The host is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were able to leave our luggage there even though we checked out early (check-out time was at 10.30 am) so we could do some more sightseeing before leaving Jeonju on our 3 pm train. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of fresh fruits.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They tried their best to communicate in English. The room was quite spacious for one person. It was clean and comfortable. The location is on the boundary of the Hanok village just beside the river. All the famous tourist spots can be reached by walking. I had no problem during my stay and would love to stay here again.
Really nice guesthouse.
The Hanok villages and most tourist attractions from Jeonju are just 10min around by foot.
You can as well take several buses to go further away.
The location is really perfect.
The room was clean and the owner was wonderful (showed us how and we're to see around and even tip us where to go eat. He also got good English)
The owners are adorable. The hanok was lovely, with clean and modern bathroom, AC which worked perfectly well and sleeping on a futon was way better than expected. Its location is perfect, as it is in the quite area of the hanok village.
Overall very good value for money. If I ever go back to Jeonju I will definitely sleep in Sarangroo again.
Cozy Hanok, excellent location and friendly host. Situated in the Hanok village, close to many cafes and restaurants, and a short bus ride away from Jeonju station. The room we stayed in had futons and access to a fridge outside. The host kindly left some water for us, and gave us some delicious homemade sikhye.
The front staff is very nice, He allowed me to do early check in around 10AM. The room is spacious and comfortable, I have everything I need for the day. Hanok Village and bus stop is just nearby, around 5 mins only. You can visit Homeplus & traditional bibimbap around the corner of the hotel! kuddos!
Location is great if you're in Jeonju to visit the hanok village, it's just across the hotel. Buses are also nearby going to the ktx station and the city. The room was spacious, clean and it had a beautiful bathroom. Comfortable place for my stay.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Is very close to the Hanok Village. Love the view from the room assigned to me, quiet and peace. The front desk staffs are very helpful and informative. I wished I can continue stay more day there.
Breakfast is really cheap. Only cost 10000won. Location is wonderful. There is two part to go in JeonJu. One is gaeksagil and other is Hanok village. If you have plan to visit near gaeksagil, this place is fine hotel to stay.
Best location, it is near hanok village and easy to find restaurant. The Staff is very helpful and speak english well. This hotel completed my best experience in Jeonju.
