The buffet meals (breakfast and dinner) were nice and had a great selection of food items. The location of the hotel is nice too, and would have provided a great sunset view especially at the footbath, if not for the cloudy skies during my stay. You could also choose Tempur pillows for additional comfort.

The room was large and clean with many amenities. The price for a weekday was very reasonable which resulted us staying longer.
Near by gyomu and breakfast serving place and a short walk from ezurahama beach. Also. We also enjoyed the self check-in and check-out since at times of a pandemic we prefer to avoid contact if we can.

The beach if fabulous, heard that the sand was import from Perth, Australia. is great, white and fine.
There is a few spots to eat, but not too family oriented, maybe it was because we went off season.
The onsens around the area are ideal to relax and recover energy. Check out the feet onsen over looking Engetsuto Island.

Beautiful beach, awesome landscapes, and great restaurants.
Beautiful beach, awesome landscapes, and great restaurants. Highly recommend visiting the Sandanbeki cliffs, gorgeous views. Also go to Ashiato if you want delicious American style sandwiches. Look for the "American Sando" banners/signs right by the Shirahama Beach bus stop. There is a small aquarium that is nice and a very interesting fertility shrine called "kanki" that you should visit as well. If you come in August you might be able to catch some phenomenal fireworks. The bus is very easy to use, it basically just goes up and down the coast, where most everything you want to see/do is.
There are some theme parks and onsens too but we didn't have time for them, unfortunately.

Shirahama can be reached from Osaka by many accommodations. You can use a direct bus from Namba or you can use JR trains to reach there (whether it's local or rapid). The white sand beach was very much worth considering the location near the city (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Wakayama).

A beautiful beach resort with some great scenery, nice soft sand and clear blue water. Does have some sea weed floating around and watch out for late afternoon when the jelly fish are around in summer time. When there are less people in the sea - it’s time to get out.
There was a fireworks display in the evening with music playing out speakers. Simply amazing to watch from the beach!! It doesn’t happen everyday so plan ahead.
There were market stalls providing food in the evening however unsure if it is a daily or weekend occurrence.
Local bars/eateries had friendly people , staff and locals alike were nice. There is a family mart just off from the beach front. Some bars are open late.
You need to either take a bus from the train station which takes longer but is cheaper or a taxi which is much faster but also more costly- ¥1,500 roughly. It’s too far to walk if you’re staying near the beach and in the summer heat it’s really not recommended.
It’s really nice for families , couples and groups of friends. If you’re a solo traveller and you enjoy your own company you’ll be fine.

The beach was nice, but crowded the fireworks and candle light event on Saturday was worth it. Not as nice as other beaches I have been to around the world. The water is pretty cold to so not great for swimming. Had fun but wouldn't recommend for a solo traveler. No English directions to get there and the bus is kinda confusing. I would not come back without a rental car
We were in Shirahama for workcation and seamore residence had good facilities for that. A shared kitchen/working space with secure wifi. We also got access to the main hotel and was able to use their amazing onsen! The hotel is a great place for any sized group/ couples/families with lots of amenities (onsen, nap room, play room, karaoke, golf simulator, billiards, restaurants, music room etc). Guests also had the option to choose our own Yukata from reception. 200% would stay here again.
The hotel staffs were very welcoming and nice to us, their Omotenashi( service) was amazing and made us feel we are on vacations.
There is English speaking staffs who were very accommodating and patient with us( visitors from USA).
Dinner and breakfast buffets s are tasty and nice, the food has ingredients card by the food so for us who do not eat pork for religious reasons was very helpful.
I recommends staying with Musashi ryokan if you visit Shirahama.
The location is very good. It is quite near the center of Shirahama and the beach. There is a 24-hour supermarket within a short distance from the property. It was very clean. The view of the beach and the ocean was great.
The kitchen with the refrigerator and cooking area was nice. The complimentary sachets of coffee and tea were nice. The bath and the complimentary toiletries were also appreciated.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly.
Breakfast was adequate and access to kitchen amenities was great. We brought our own fruits/extras for the kids.
The coffee was excellent and accessible at all times.
The location was amazing as it was just a few hundred meters from the beach and a foot onsen, as well as being walking distance from many restaurants.
One of the oldest hotels in the area. We enjoyed this hotel most so far in our month in Japan. The welcome by the staff was great and the hotel was just opposite the most beautiful beach. The room was lovely and comfortable considering it was Japanese style.
The onsen was amazing and the communal area to cook and eat your dinner or breakfast was great.
The room provided ready-to-use kitchenwares and a washing machine with the drying function was impressive. We were able to buy fresh veges and soup ingredients from a supermarket around the area to cook by ourselves. The aparthotel was about 10-15min walking distance from the popular beach. A short uphill walking was required to reach the aparthotel.
Even the footbath comes in the shape of an infinity pool! The sea view from the room was unbeatable. The onsen facilities are great and spacious, offering different options. Buffet meals are tasty. The Shirarahama beach, is of a short walking distance. If you are a good walker, even 三段壁 can be reached by foot within 20-25 minutes.
The man at the desk is the saving grace of this place. He's the nicest hotel staff I've experienced in all my years in Japan. He did his best to make sure we were as comfortable as possible and to help us. The view from the place is also amazing. It's also really close to the bus and the caves so the location is great.
It's on top of a hill with panoramic views of Shirahama so that was lovely. However, if one has no car then it's a complete pain to get anywhere.
The breakfast was extensive with lots of western and japanese choices which was great. The Japanese kaseki style dinner was very tasty too.
蘭 (Ran) is a fantastic option for travellers on a budget who don't mind staying a little further from the center of Shirahama. The facilities were almost brand new and sparkling clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming! Ample, free onsite parking was also nice.
Wonderful and tasteful older style traditional meets modern Japanese inn with terrific onsen and amazing breakfast buffet. Staff were so incredibly friendly and kind. Comfy rooms and bedding. The kids loved the free drink stations and evening soup stand was delicious.
Very stylish, modern place with excellent views of the ocean out most windows. The onsen was very nice and much bigger than I expected. The kitchen was incredible! Best shared kitchen I've seen in 15+ years of traveling. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast wasn't part of the deal, shucks!
I loved the shuttle to and from the train station, thank you!
Loved the great location, right on the beach! And the onsen! And the helpful staff! And the tatami room!
Owner; Korean housewife is very friendly and her restaurant was providing good tast korean dinner.
Onsen is very good andyou can go by taxithat also make appoinment for returnning to hotel.
Absolutely stunning hotel. I got the private onsen in suite and looked right out over the water. So comfortable, clean and cozy. The staff were amazing!!
