The owner was very friendly and helpful. Offered free bicycles that we could use (which was very nice).
The room was very clean, with all necessities, even extra blanket and pillows.
The mattress is hard, which for us was a great thing as we are used to it and it helped us to sleep comfortably.

The breakfast was amazing. All of the staff were incredible - Angelo, Francesca and Manuela made us feel so at home, while also making it feel like a luxury experience. The room was rustic and stunning. Although it rained while we were there there was an amazing hot tub overlooking the lake and we enjoyed hot coffees and later Prosecco outside and took in the views. It is a very special place with authentic rustic luxury, also we loved being away from the hectic touristy area of Varenna- it’s super close for a day trip via ferry or train, but if you are looking to relax this is definitely a better option.

An amazing property that couldn't be closer to the lake, the host was super helpful, friendly and willing to guide us with our random tourist queries. I totally recommend to stay in the property if you want a place next to the water and at a short distance from local amenities.

We stayed here because we read reviews of the crowds not being as heavy as other towns, and it's true! Bellano has a more "local" feel and much less crowded, but still busy on the weekend. It's an amazing little town with access to other lake towns. Wish we had more time there.

Fabulous property and host!
Fabulous property and host! Giovanni went above and beyond to welcome us and answer any questions or concerns, both before our arrival and during our stay. The views of the lake are just stunning and we loved sitting out on our own private terrace with a glass of wine enjoying our surroundings. The location is quiet and secluded, but walkable to town, the ferry, and the train station. We were able rent a boat right in the town and enjoyed exploring the lake on our own. Beautiful Orrido and Cascata are two "must visits" in Bellano for ones loving nature. The SS36 motorway nearby makes your travel with car very easy alongside the whole Eastern part of the lake, meanwhile the rest of the roads along the lake can be full of traffic jams. We would highly recommend staying in Bellano. It was convenient to other villages on the lake and we could be away from the crowds. It was a charming town with great restaurants. The ferry service was most convenient to Bellano. We were able to travel around the lake easily and looked forward to coming back to our bit of paradise in Bellano!Festa - 10Scored 10
Our group really liked Bellano.
Our group really liked Bellano. We were looking for a smaller town that was not over-commercialized or overrun with tourists, but not so small that there was nothing to do and the dining options were limited. In Bellano we found nice restaurants & we were particularly fond of the places adjacent to the water where we could dine and watch the lake traffic. The ferry schedule was a bit confusing but we figured it out spent some time on the water as well. In all, Bellano was what we were looking for and we were very happy with our choice. Small hotel with beautiful details and historic rooms with good decorations. Warm welcome - also with icecold prosecco in the room. Good breakfast - which can also be enjoyed on the terrace. Secured parking available for a charge. The villa is the perfect starting point for excursions on and round Lake Como area as it is in walking distance to Bellano port. Special thanks to Angelo, he is a great host and made everything for us to have a memorable stay.

The host was also very welcoming, helpful, and easy to reach (we used the chat in bookings). Note that if you're exploring the lake, we found that Bellano makes a perfect base, as it's close to everything but out of the way, so it's not too busy. Also, Bellano itself has a very nice charm that makes it quite endearing. Be sure to check out the Pasticceria Lorla for great croissants - just a block away!

There was a landslide which meant we couldn't get the train as planned to Bellano and had to get a bus for part of it and Jessica helped us with information with taxi numbers etc. So we would definitely be able to get there. Great staff. We had food both nights in the hotel in was delicious. The rooms were spacious and clean. And breakfast had a great choice to choose from.HazelIreland

We were also happy with the service (e.g. garbage removal was sorted out for us). The view from the apparment and from a nearby church tarrace is amazing. The town is lovely and not as overrun by tourists as other locations on lake Como. I would come back to Bellano for sure!
