The location. The dining room beautifully set for breakfast. Introduction of different breads at breakfast. Good shower. Very white bath towels and sheets.
It was obvious since my last stay a much needed renovation has begun in small stages.

Visit to steam railway special event (purpose of visit) very good. Small town, seemingly typical of local industrial northern past. A few restaurants which seemed good from reviews though did not try personally.

It would have been better to have had original flat and not have to go upstairs , however as we only came home at night it was ok . The picture on your page is not how the property looks as it used to have a phone box ourside . No it didn’t affect stay but just so you know . It was a lovely flat

The photos are very misleading.
The photos are very misleading. The rooms are nothing like those in the photographs on booking.com or the hotel's website. The room was small (despite being described as "spacious") with a small bed, which could just about be described as double, dated, dilapidated, with stained carpet, paint peeling, filthy radiators. One of the lamps was not working. The reception area has been nicely refurbished but the owners have not got round to doing the rooms up and have limited themselves to placing misleading photos on the website. The staff at the reception (who, to be fair, were very polite, and I almost felt sorry for them for having to do the dirty work for the owners) told us that the photos were 10 years old, which I did not believe for one minute. We decided not to stay and were refunded (well, I hope so anyway, I'm waiting for this to show up on my credit card bill). We managed to book ourselves into a nearby Travelodge which seemed to be the height of luxury in comparison. I would not have minded so much if I knew what to expect but to mislead your customers like this is simply outrageous!

Really hospitable staff happy in there characters would stay again. The shower cubical could do with some mould remover and a milk had gone mouldy apart from that a comfy room.Great full English and coffee .
The hotel entrance, Restaurant and bar area have been recently refurbished to a high standard . the bedrooms/bathrooms however are very tired and need upgrading, having said that they are liveable and the bed was very comfortable the price is very good value indeed . The breakfast (included) in the price was of very high standard with high spec produce being used. I would definitely be happy to stay here again obviously when the rooms are refurbished the price for a stay would increase , i would still be happy to stay .
There was confusion over whether breakfast was available, I thought it was, they thought it wasn't. Also there were problems with the room layout but both of these issues were discussed with hotel staff who worked hard to accommodate my requests and in the end I was very happy with the stay. This is not the Ritz, if you want a place like the Ritz then go and stay at the Ritz. It is a comfortable, budget hotel ideally located for a lot of travelling workers
The staff were friendly and very helpful also happy to help the room was lovely and staff went out of there way for us putting cake , petals and balloons as it was our anniversary the room was very clean and tidy would recommend this hotel to other Good location between bury and Rochdale good bus routine right outside hotel
The hotel facilities were lovely, everything we needed was there. Location was good distance and had shops nearby and a town. Lovely fitted apartment and a lovely shower.
Good value for money if you want a affordable bnb. Easy to access key. We’ll set out apartment.
Quite a nice surprise, a relatively large hotel with decent rooms, good location and overall a really nice stay. I was staying for work so the facilities were fine, breakfast was good and room was good too.
The service from reception woman (unsure of name) was amazing, great recomandation from her to go to Owd Betts pub for food as the hotel restaurant was closed. Very friendly and easy to talk to.
Everything was fine - staff were a credit too you, and accomodation was up to best expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised with the range of the Breakfast menu, and quality.
Excellent value and def recommemded. Small hotel but very clean and well kept with landscaped gardens. Plenty of park9ng snd not far from the motorway if your traveling through.
