As soon as I walked in the door I felt it was a warm and friendly apartment. In fact it was so welcoming I booked a second night! Everything was comfortable and done in a homely style. A bonus was being allowed in when we arrived at midday. A real treat for a tired hiker!

Didn't really want to tell you all how good La Portette is as it may be fully booked when we are looking to book again but it would be rude not too. Liza and Andy were exceptional hosts. From a cold beer on arrival to a wonderful multi course evening meal which was both utterly delicious and plentiful, from the aperitifs through to the coffee, not forgetting the wine. This was followed by a wonderful nights sleep. The following morning what a splendid spread for breakfast, so much variety and must not forget so much is homemade by Liza. Also the spectacular views of Mont Blanc and Les Arcs. When we return to this area of the Alps we will definitely be seeking out this wonderful chambre d'hotes and cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks Liza and Andy for such a great stay, shame it was only for one night and we will definitely book with you again, if you are free, when we return to the Alps.

Location is fabulous. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. The view is outstanding! We had a wonderful time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this chalet. Despite its simplicity, the cozy ambiance and thoughtful touches made for a delightful stay. The charm of the surroundings and the friendly host created a memorable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a genuine and comfortable place to stay. Great location too.

The apartment was clean. The front desk helpful. Considering the price we paid, is was great value for money. We had everything we needed, the heating was excellent.
