In a quiet location in Wals, 5 km of the historic centre of Salzburg, the family-run Hotel Himmelreich features a sauna and a garden with a swimming pool. Was very lucky to get the corner room on the second floor (Venus room if I recalled correctly). From what I saw, it has the biggest balcony area (the whole L shape to the side of hotel!). Room was absolutely gorgeous, newly renovated and huge! Awesome view from balcony. A pity that I only stayed for one night, will be back!

Ibis Budget Salzburg Airport - Self-Check-In nalazi se na izlazu s autoceste Flughafen, na križanju s cestom koja vodi do Zračne luke Salzburg, samo 500 metara od dizajnerskog outlet centra i 5 km od... Nice cosy place. Good for a night or two. And location is very good.

Objekt Haus Kernstock smješten je nekoliko minuta od zgrade Hangar-7, s poznatim restoranom Ikarus, i 3 km od Zračne luke Salzburg. It’s a nice little place, very clean. We had 2 single rooms for my granddaughter and me. No breakfast, but didn’t expect it. It’s at the end of the street, turning the car around is a bit of work. We were looking for a simple inexpensive base for exploring Salzburg and the surrounding area, not a destination hotel with lots of services, it was just what we needed. Laundry service is available for 8 euro a load.

Everything you need in an apartment. We stayed for 4 nights, which was more than enough to explore Salzburg. Our daughter was most impresed by the remote control for the window shades, therefore she was the apartment sherif for light and shade. Our son was impresed by the PS4 (altough it didn't work), he used the controler to save the world :-). But we definitly apreciate Monopoly, because we all evolved into modern kapitalist.
