The room was lovely, breakfast was super tasty and the cocktails were incredible!
I stayed for a work event so we were there ready to start at 845am rather than drive 3 hours in the morning. Me and a friend chose to take the train on Friday instead- was easy to get to from the train station, rooms ready on arrival, a really good location to get Bolt taxi to shopping at the Trafford centre, a really good night sleep, lovely breakfast & they looked after our luggage the whole time we was at the event downstairs.

I don’t think the carpets have been cleaned since they were fitted in what looked like 1989 and the dust under the radiator that just a simple hoover would have removed made me not even want to walk bare foot on the carpet. My room smelt ok but the corridors smell of old urine in the carpets, old tape sticking parts together. I had clean towels and sheets on the bed however the throw and cushion “for decoration” most definitely needed to be binned. Health wise obviously the carpet was a health hazard but also way too much mould in the bathroom which no one should breathe in. Then there is the extremely thin single glazed original windows which I had to check were actually shut a few times as it sounded like the were wide open to the sounds of Piccadilly centre. Light switches/old radiators/general room aesthetic does not look like the pictures and haven’t been updated since what looks like the 80s when it would have been fitted. I booked here as it needed to be affordable for work and I was too exhausted to move but I would recommend paying a little extra and getting somewhere hygenic.

Manchester is the best! Loads to do and see. Many quality restaurants and the trams are great!
Favourites are Dishoom and Piccolinos.
We try and take in a show at the palace theatre and maybe a trip to the quays and the Trafford centre so all bases are covered. People are really welcoming- yes it rains but that’s Manchester for you. My tip use public transport it’s plentiful and keeps cars to a minimum.

Trams are fun.

Beautiful industrial heritage buildings together with impressive modern architecture. Excellent tram network. Visited the historic John Ryland's Library and the Hidden Gem Catholic Church. Lots of options for eating and good quality food. Very friendly people ready to help. Worth visiting Afflick's market for bargains, super good ice cream and great ambiance. Also the Craft and Design Centre, housed in the former Fish Market.

My review is a mixed bag for sure! On one hand, the Spa was exceptional, and on the other, the rooms were at most 3 stars. If your expecting luxury in the bedroom, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Just an amazing city where modern meets traditional.
Just an amazing city where modern meets traditional.
A vibrant place filled with beautiful architecture and culture, all with a feeling of togetherness and a real sense of the spirit of the Mancunian people. A warm convivial and friendly place which welcomes all comers.
Such a diverse mix of restaurants, bars and eating places to cater for all tastes. The trams are fantastic. the lifeblood of the city centre and a great way to get around easily. The City has shrugged off its grim up North appearance and now bristles with businesses, new buildings and opportunities. Not the cheapest place to visit but certainly much better value than London. Hoping to be back very very soon.
For culture, art, music and spirit, Manchester is where it's at.
Nearly as good as Glasgow ;}
Excellent hotel stayed for a concert. Will definitely be back well worth its money. Breakfast excellent.Room was clean with a lovely view, flat screen tv,comfy beds, tea, biscuits and water in the room and bathroom was lovely with a great light up mirror. We had 3 mirrors in total in the room which was great.Perfect for a night out with the girls in Manchester or getaway.Staff were really friendly and down to earth.Everything was so simple and the hotel was peaceful. If you don’t like this hotel there must be something wrong with you!
The Hilton hotel Deansgate is the best hotel just few minutes from historic city centre of Manchester & walking distance away from all activities with different tastes.
The great asset of Hilton Deansgate is friendly staffs & great atmosphere. Well done to all staffs 👌
To get panoramic view of Manchester & surrounding countryside is to book the highest floor. Recommended: The 23 floor is must place to visit to get the best view while you are eating your lunch or dinner
The hotel is very close to the Manchester Picadilly train station. That made it very convenient from the airport and for getting around the area. It is also within walking distance of several museums and libraries. I was able to drop off my bag early. There are eateries and pubs all around. I was very pleased that decaf coffee was among the in-room offerings. The room was small but clean and well-appointed. They offer early check-in but ...
Clean. Helpful staff. Near transport link for city centre. Nice breakfast. Taking into account its location, value for money wise, it's up there.
I've stayed before & had to move the date due to a concert being postponed. The hotel manager was very helpful in this instance, so it was at the forefront of my thoughts when needing a hotel in Manchester this time.
To be honest, I'll probably stay here in the future if it is available.
This hotel is definitely one of the best value for money in Manchester, the location is so good, right in the centre of the city, just outside the door is the square town hall and tram platform, there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel is very comfortable and clean and the people at reception were very friendly! And they have a restaurant and bar downstairs at ground floor and is very large and very cosy!
Great hotel with a car park attached which was very convenient given the proximity to Manchester - most hotels don’t have car parks in the city centre.
Booked a room with no windows (best value) but when we checked in they had put us in a large room with windows.
Really clean and comfortable, gorgeous bathroom, great value for money. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
I absolutely loved my stay, rooms were amazing, staff were welcoming and very helpful and polite, the hotel was stunning.I will definitely be back again and again,mr and my partner stay around Manchester and go to different hotels for a little break but this will be our destination from now on,wonderful place.
This hotel is a great value for money; £15 a person got me and my partner a bed and bathroom on the same day as we booked. The main thing we liked was the location - Salford is just a 25 minute tram ride from Manchester city centre, and the tram station is a two-minute walk from the hotel.
Went over for a Manchester united match with my son only a 10 minute walk to old Trafford football stadium. The staff were excellent very helpful and very friendly. Would have no problem recommending this hotel will definitely stay again on my next trip to Old Trafford.
Room is spacious and clean. Location is good, a close walk from Manchester Oxford Station. There are plenty of small cafes for a quick easy bite and a convenient store near the hotel.
Will definitely book this hotel again and will recommend it to others.
Superb as expected from Malmaison and this new hotel is perfect for any city centre stay in Manchester.
The gentleman on reception was excellent, can't recall his name, but he had a cool name and was at the top of his game.
a very new hotel, great clean modern rooms, good location within minutes to the city centre, just 3min walk to oxford road station where you can take trains to Liverpool or Manchester airports. great for a city break for sure!
Great location 3 minutes walk away from
Manchester Picadilly train station and 10 mins walk from the city centre. The hotel is nice and modern, trendy lobby and bar area, cozy atmosphere.
This hotel is very convenient for Manchester Piccadilly train station. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were efficient and the room was clean and comfortable.
A beautiful hotel with original features, it is located in Manchester City centre close to shops and tourist attractions, and the staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly.
The rooms were well furnished and the location of the hotel is great for doing some shopping and eating in the heart of Manchester as everything is less than a 20min walk away.
